Silk Room - the place where you can find luxurious silk bedding, has been bringing silk to New Zealand since 2007.
The hand crafted range has been available overseas for over 10 years from 1998, then in 2007 the exclusive Silk Room  ™  brand was launched in New Zealand.

A little about me
In February 2010 I became the proud new owner.
My name is Alison, I have worked within the interiors industry for the past 25 years. I have a passion for property and have had the opportunity to renovate several Auckland properties. The experience has been both hard work and a delight. Working with quality products is always a must and a pleasure. The security of longevity and customer satisfaction gives me satisfaction.
On another note I also have had a long standing interest in healthy products. You only get one body and it is important to look after it well. When I discovered the benefits of silk I was astounded. I have always enjoyed wearing natural products as they keep you warm in the winter and cool in the summer. (due to breathability). Silk also has a unique thermo leveling property, has 18 amino acids and albmen very close to human skin. (They even make moisturiser out of it). The combination of interiors and silks health properties has been like a marriage made in heaven for me.

As I've mentioned to me quality is part of my philosophy in life, and giving back is another. I love boating and was a search and rescue volunteer with Coastguard for 6 years. I now have interests in good  nutrition, and naturally processing the products we eat and wear.
